Neurodiversity
In January 2022,
I wrote an article on LinkedIn about my experience as a neurodivergent jobseeker. While I was navigating the harsh job market, I received an interview guide that perpetuated neuronormative standards of professionalism. Immediately, I challenged it.
Hundreds of neurodivergent people shared similar experiences, and the post went viral! Organisations started contacting me, with my article shared in their chats and ERGs, and they wanted me to help them do better.
Since then, I have used my own lived experience to deliver webinars, panels, reports and presentations - sharing practical information and experiences that highlight our neurodiverse ways of working and living.
Wanna work together? Here’s what I can do.
-
Neuroinclusion in Action: Embracing Neurodiversity in the Workplace (60 or 90 mins, online)
Neuroinclusion in Action: Inclusive and Accessible Events (60 mins, online)
Custom and bespoke presentations (varied length and topics)
-
I am happy to work with you and your team to figure out ways to make your processes more neuroinclusive.
If you have something that needs a neurodivergent touch, whether it be your services or comms, I’m happy to help.
Some examples of things I’ve done in a consulting and collaborative capacity include:
produced a report for an accountant sharing the experience of lodging a tax return
working with a speech clinic to make their processes and language more neuroaffirming
Developing a neurodivergent panel to share experiences about neurodiversity in the workplace
Collaborating and co-facilitating an all-day self-advocacy workshop for neurodivergent individuals
-
I am happy to share my lived experience and talk about certain topics that I am passionate about.
I have been part of panels and am a confident public speaker.
I am open to keynote and conference talks as well.
Please note, I am not equipped nor qualified to provide individual advocacy services.
-
I can provide copywriting services, as well as articles and opinion pieces.
I am more interested in reviewing the accessibility of certain experiences and would be open to creating written and video reviews as content.
